Teacher James and his fiancée Lucy wanted a wedding with a difference. They had both been married before so wanted something totally different from the first time round. It was also important to them on this special day that they were surrounded by their closest family and friends.
They wanted to hold their wedding in the beautiful Lecrín Valley – just south of the ancient city of Granada. The valley has a wealth of lovely holiday homes to rent. It is situated equidistant from the beaches of the Costa Tropical, the white washed artisan villages of the Alpujarras and the culture and history of Granada.
This idyllic setting offered all their guests the opportunity to take some time out and fly over for a wedding with a difference. They all stayed in the village houses available near to the wedding venue and had time to be tourists as well as wedding guests.
James and Lucy completed the civil ceremony in the UK before heading for Spain. They then spent a wonderful few days relaxing and catching up with their friends and family in a way that traditional weddings never provide.
